Sula, which has been a huge name in the wine industry launched their first grape-based whisky, Eclipse at the Farzi Café in the capital city. And with this launch they have ventured further into the world of spirits.
Speaking about this new launch company's COO, Mr. Nick Pringle said "There is a reason to why our very first whisky was given the name Eclipse. Eclipses represent auspicious beginnings and protects your good fortunes and enhances opportunities in life."
The oak casked aged Eclipse embodies the exceptional French spirit making heritage and the expertise of Sula in selecting the best Indian grapes. Premium quality Scotch and then of course premium grains goes in to the produce of this all new whisky too.
It is made with a touch of grape spirit which is double distilled using a traditional French distillation process. The liquor is aged in ‘Limousine Oak Cask’ under the supervision of Artisan Spirit's Master Blender Yogesh Mathur. The result is a whisky of exceptional smoothness with character of dried fruit, spices and vanilla. Eclipse comprises of premium ‘Malt Scotch’ from Scotland. 5 year old peated malt spirit goes in to the blend.
To add melody to the glittery night Indie band 'Shadow and Light' performed and hit all the right notes- Pavithra Chari and Anindo Bose had everybody grooving to their music while savouring their cocktails.
