‘A Reverie’, situated within an elegant and comforting cocoon in Calangute, Goa, offers an overall dining occasion, from
the wit of the wine pairings to the interludes in the garden mid-meal – a
sublime and captivating experience.
The airy restaurant is redolent with discreet luxury, as is the menu, which features truffles and foie gras alongside humbler ingredients that are accorded equal respect.
It is a culmination of a never-before seen experience in the Indian culinary space and the experience is incomplete if not personally experienced. The restaurant has been in existence for the past 17 years and draws crowds from all over the county, including the likes of Vijay Mallya, Hrithik Rohan, Sara Todd, Shilpa Shetty, Yuvraj Singh and Nandita Mahatani to name a few.
This season, the veteran restaurant is a complete transformation of its old self with its welcoming, with its outdoor patio centered on a beautiful tree. Large wooden front doors open on to a long, white corridor decorated with contemporary art, diners can enjoy close-up views of husband-and-wife. Beyond the white-washed corridor, a main dinning wine experience room and a tree-lined outdoor courtyard with wooden & copper benches make for a relaxed, homely eating experience in a city where fine dining too often feels pretentious.
The brigade at A REVERIE is led by Virendra and chef de cuisine Aakritee while manager Gilbert D'souza ensures the superlative standards of the front of house team. Currently operating with a LABORATORY kitchen, under the flagship of Chef PABLO MIRANDA.
