EVENT ALERT  4th edition of Global Film Tourism Conclave

Organised by the PHD Chamber isorganising in Mumbai, the event will focus on the theme; ‘Experience the potential of Cinematic Tourism’

GFTC provides a unique platform for film commissions, tourism boards and production houses to promote their locations, incentives and services to the vibrant Indian film industry.

The programme is supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.Producers Guild of India is the Synergy Partner for the programme.

Shri Aaditya Thackeray, Tourism Minister, Government of Maharashtraand Smt. Aditi Tatkare, Minister of State for Tourism, Government of Maharashtra have been invited as the as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively on the occasion.

Smt. Usha Sharma (IAS), Director General, Archaeological Survey of India will talk about opportunities for Filming in Monuments.

Renowned veterans of the Indian film industry like David Dhawan, Anees Bazmee, Anil Sharma, Ramesh Taurani, among others have been invited to grace the occasion.Senior officials from 25 Production Houses have confirmed their presence at the programme.

Representatives from tourism boards like Bulgaria, Romania, France, Spain, Scandinavia, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Delhi among others will give presentation on the incentive schemes for film shootings in their destinations.

Ms. Radha Bhatia, Chairperson – Tourism Committee, PHDCCI, said, “Film Tourism is not only a niche segment for destination marketing, it also presents new product development opportunities, such as location tours, film museums and the theming of existing tourist attractions with a film connection. PHD Chamber has been organizing the Global Film Tourism Conclave for the past 3 years and the response is encouraging every year.”

Panel Discussions for promotion of Film Tourism in India as well as in other countries will be conducted during the Conclave. In parallel to the Panel Discussions, there will also be an ExhibitionPlatform for destinations to showcase locations, tax incentives and other services.
