LATITUDE, COIMBATORE
At ‘Latitude’ the all-day dining, Breakfast is a veritable smorgasbord of fresh food, classy traditional Tamil Nadu food and a pastry section to die for along with a large variety of imported cold cuts and cheese. Not to be missed are the ‘Ramessari Idlis’, these round and flat idlis are from a village near Elappally near Palakkad and have any earthy aroma acquired from the unglazed clay pots in which they are steam cooked. The slightly salty Idli is best eaten with podi soaked in coconut oil. Recommendations also go all out for ‘Narasus coffee’; these beans are of impeccable quality, checked for uniformity, ripeness, flavour and consistency. The aroma of first-degree concoction makes Narasus the most famous coffee drink in South of India. Strong and milky, and hot fulsome flavour lingers after the taste; you just can’t skip this sip!
