Visiting Lady Liberty is one of the most rewarding experiences of any trip to New York City. The neoclassic statue was a gift from the people of France to the people of Unites states. The crown of statue has seven spikes symbolising the Seven Seas across which liberty should be spread. In her right hand, she has a torch, symbolising enlightenment and in the left, she holds a tablet with declaration of independence. One can visit the pedestal and the crown with advanced reservations. Once you are done taking in the history, enjoy classic American favourites, like cheeseburgers and hot dogs at Crown Cafe.
