Where to Stay: Agra

Ever since the Pandemic hit us, we have learned to live a little more, take it slow and easy, love ourselves, unwind, celebrate the little things and travel whenever we get the chance to! The demand for weekend getaways and staycation options is more than ever, and here is our suggestion: Taj Hotel & Convention Centre, Agra.

By Pooja Sandhu

Located a stone's throw away from the Eastern gate of the Taj Mahal, this property makes for the ideal weekend getaway. Redefining Agra's hospitality scene, Taj Hotel & Convention Centre offers luxury, comfort and great hospitality.

One can choose from 239 luxurious rooms, 12 opulent suites, and a presidential suite. The rooms are well equipped and spacious, enveloped in soothing colours with wooden flooring, Some of the features include large, airy, sun-kissed windows, plush armchairs and ottomans and elegant drop-down lights. We stayed in a Deluxe Room that came with a luxurious bathroom, featuring a standing bath tub and walk-in rain shower. Some of the views offer a view of the Taj, some of the pool and the rest if the city.

The rooftop infinity pool which doubles up as an alfresco dining area at night is the best place to unwind. One can view the Taj from there while sipping a drink by the pool! The property also features a Fitness Centre with two Treadmills, an Elliptical Cross Trainer, a Recumbent Bike and free weights.
